Payten Shetterly set the school record in the indoor Pole Vault as a Senior, clearing 10' 8" at the 2026 Jerome Fields HS Open. That same height in the outdoor Pole Vault, cleared as a Junior at the 2025 Division II District Track Meet, ranks third all-time. The vault was the thread of a four-season career: Payten opened at 6' 6" outdoors as a Freshman in May 2023 and improved by 4' 2" across 28 outdoor performances, while the indoor Pole Vault climbed from 8' 3" as a Sophomore. On the track, Payten lowered the 400M from 1:10.86 to 1:05.19 at the 2024 Stars of Track and Field and ran a 4:28.00 4x400M Relay with Brooklyn Cavey, Samantha Porter and Kayla Shook at the 2025 Woodridge Dual. Payten also reached 4' 3" in the High Jump.
